An idea for the birds!

bird-feederWhen I was a kid, I made a bird feeder out of a Pepsi bottle. It didn’t last long, but the idea of feeding birds stayed with me. To this day, I buy suet balls and bags of seed to feed my aviary friends through the winter.

My mom and I had the same idea the very same day – what would we do without their entertainment? It’s a great, slow way of relaxing to watch them flit about. Drawing Nature into our fold can remind us of what’s truly important. When the stressors of life get us down, there’s nothing like watching birds dive happily into a pile of sunflower seeds you put there for the taking…

Show us a bigger picture of the feeder! Good use for old bottles.

You could get another old bottle of the same size, turn that into a funnel, and use it to refill the feeder when it is empty.

Ah yes! A good reminder especially with spring migration starting up.
