Slow Marriage

Slow marriage doesn’t mean it takes you three weeks to pick up your dirty socks from the bathroom floor. It means taking time to be together, even when finances are tight.

My husband and I haven’t been on a date in a while. My gym is sponsoring a party this Friday to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary. It just happens to coincide with our own fifteenth anniversary (give or take a few months) so we’re going.  Date night doesn’t have to be expensive. It truly is the thought that counts!

If you haven’t spent much time with your loved one, take a moment to spend an hour or two together. Slow relationships aren’t about neglect, but about being mindful of each other and about how much you mean to one another!
