A New Kind of Independence Day

July Fourth is an awesome day. It’s filled with hot dogs, parades and, hopefully, not too much heartburn after all that fun.

As you celebrate Independence Day today, and even for those of you who won’t, consider how you might liberate yourself from the shackles of your own mind. Remember: time is a construct based on the Earth’s rotation. We can’t deny that the Earth moves, but look how slowly it does so. It still gets to where it needs to go in its own natural rhythm.

So today take a deep breath, free yourself from your hectic routine and really let go of time. Enjoy this day and all the possibilities that it brings. And so it is!

It’s easy to go slow in Gordonsville, Virgina today as we enter our 6th day of no electricity and triple digit temperatures, knowing we have a generator humming to save the frozen chicken. We are here for such a short time. Why not enjoy it! To the pool!!
